Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company At Daikin Applied as a Project Engineer, you will plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work in conjunction with the project team. This individual will monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and company policies and procedures. The Project Engineer will promote strong communication and ensure completion of project tasks of all parties on the projects to the project manager. - Responsible for overall customer satisfaction by ensuring the complete scope of work purchased by the customer is accurately communicated, ordered and delivered in full.
- Serve as the liaison between the customer, sales team and equipment factories to troubleshoot and address technical issues and customer questions.
- Effectively communicate with the customer to determine project timelines, scheduling and required ship dates.
- Responsible for the accuracy of the project financials from job costing through customer invoicing.
- Keep current on new products by attending technical training and sales meetings.
- Process and execute orders in compliance with the project drawings, specifications and scope of work sold.
- Manage the post-sale process from shipping, start-up request and warranty issues through project close out.
- May assist with estimating of projects and creating professional, high-grade sales proposals from RFP/RFI from clients for Daikin Applied.
- Assist with the securing, booking and release for fabrication process.
- Complete change order proposals and booking the related change orders within the order management system, including updating office file as required.
- Prepare customer proposals, PowerPoint presentations, letters, spreadsheets, issuance of bid bonds, certificates of Insurance, payment/performance bonds, pre-qualification questionnaires and order legal paperwork and forms to aid in finalization of contract award.
- Coordinate meetings, trade shows, events, etc. for sales teams
- Manage incoming/outgoing project related mail, contract documents, submittals, and design documents as necessary.
- Manage the contract closeout process to ensure the timely closure of projects.
- Using Daikin Applied tools and standards, process customer purchase orders and vendor invoices. Organize and maintain all project documentation.
- Coordinate Daikin Applied invoice processes to meet revenue plan.
- Generate vendor purchase orders and release payments to vendors with A/R invoices under guidance from the sales leadership team

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- 2-4 years of prior related experience
- Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills.

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $62,000 - $85,0000 in AL. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
