Summary: As an Internal Auditor within the Helicopters Internal Audit team, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of operational and compliance audit activities in our Organization in Philadelphia in collaboration with the Italian team and supporting the management in the evaluation and improvement of control frameworks and business processes. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the key stakeholders and a variety of business departments in the Organization with the aim to develop and maintain the annual risk based audit plan and to execute internal audit activities in a multicultural team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits using Group regulations and in adherence with the IIA Professional Standards.
- Perform, independently or in a team, all audit activities including planning, fieldwork, findings identification, recommendations proposal, area of risks identification, report writing and workpapers management, granting the correct interaction with the auditees.
- Perform periodical follow up activities on the agreed actions plans.
- Collaborate to the "preventive audit activities" analyzing and evaluating the Internal Control System of the Company providing suggestions for its improvement.
- Support periodical risk assessment activity preliminary to the definition of the Audit Plan.
- Build and keep positive and strong working relationships with internal stakeholders cooperating with all the different departments of the Company in the continuous enhancement of the processes and of the Internal Control System.
- Supports other internal Audit groups in execution of their audit plans as necessary.
Qualifications for Position: Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, or related field required. Master's degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, or Technical/Engineering disciplines preferred.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or other relevant professional certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in external or internal audit, utilizing modern risk-based methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of internal audit methodologies and IIA standards.
Competencies and Attributes
- Understanding of core business processes: logistics, procurement, program management, accounting, HR, etc.
- Proven ability to identify risks and recommend pragmatic, actionable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills-both oral and written. English is required; Italian is a plus.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills to navigate complex situations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and build trusted relationships.
- Comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in analyzing large datasets (knowledge of data analytics tools is preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP tools such as SAP
- Knowledge of US regulatory standards
- Domestic and international travel up to 10%
