Title: Compensation & People Analytics Senior Manager Location: Metairie, LA Position Overview: The Compensation & People Analytics Senior Manager plays a strategic and operational leadership role in shaping and managing enterprise-wide compensation frameworks, workforce analytics, and human capital systems. This role is vital to driving data-informed decisions that optimize labor costs, support workforce planning, and enable proactive HR and business strategies across the shipyard network. A key focus will be developing integrated analytics and reporting that empower HR, Finance, and Operations to plan effectively and execute with precision. Key Responsibilities
- Compensation Strategy & Job Architecture:
- Design and manage company-wide compensation structures, including job leveling frameworks and executive compensation plans.
- Align compensation programs with organizational objectives and ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.
- HRIS & HCM Systems Leadership:
- Serve as the ERP HR lead and primary liaison to IT.
- Lead the governance, integration, and data integrity of HR systems across all shipyard locations.
- Analytics & Workforce Planning:
- Build advanced dashboards and forecast models addressing:
- Turnover and retention trends
- Labor blending ratios
- Workforce costs and productivity metrics
- Own the design and delivery of headcount and compensation reporting for budget and planning cycles.
- Strategic Insights & Reporting:
- Deliver actionable people insights to the CHRO and senior leadership teams.
- Provide decision-support for workforce deployment, recruitment, retention, and cost control initiatives.
- Innovation & Enablement:
- Introduce AI-powered analytics and labor market intelligence to strengthen HR strategies.
- Enable cross-functional HR initiatives through data-driven tools and methodologies.
- Key Metrics of Success:
- HR data accuracy and system integrity
- Timely delivery and maintenance of dashboards
- Labor forecasting precision
- Compensation benchmarking effectiveness
- Labor blend optimization outcomes
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related analytical discipline.
- Travel as needed, up to 25%
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years in compensation, HR analytics, or HRIS roles.
- Proven track record managing:
- Job architectures and salary benchmarking
- Base, variable, and executive compensation programs
- Hands-on experience with ERP platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical modeling and presentation abilities.
- Preferred: Background in environments with complex hourly workforces (e.g., shipbuilding, manufacturing, construction, logistics).
