Job Family Engineering Discipline Engineer - Multidiscipline 2 Career Level P3-P5 Salary Range P3: $85,700 - $120,000; P4: $99,400 - $144,000; P5: $124,000 - $180,000 Note for Salary This is the range within which SRNS expects the majority of qualified candidates would enter this role if offered. Actual offers may be more or less than the amounts shown depending on candidate's qualifications, experience, internal equity, and other factors. Job Family Description Information Technology / Operations Technology (IT/OT) professionals sculpt the technological framework of the organization through the creation and management of scalable and secure information systems. Charged with the development and deployment of solutions, they analyze short- and long-term requirements to enhance system functionality and efficiency. They design and refine software applications, ensuring integration with existing architectural paradigms while also developing network systems and infrastructure to support business needs. IT/OT personnel manage the organization's IT/OT landscape, guaranteeing the reliable operation of servers, databases, and other components of the technology ecosystem. By maintaining a secure and robust IT/OT infrastructure, they uphold the integrity and confidentiality of data while facilitating connectivity and accessibility. Information Technology / Operations Technology personnel continually adapt to technological advancements, ensuring the organization stays at the forefront of emerging IT/OT trends and is well-equipped to meet future challenges while maintaining secure and stable operations. Discipline Description Engineering - Multidiscipline personnel typically own a multidiscipline engineering related work scope. Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include: * Develop process modeling or computer simulations Required Qualifications P3: * Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field We'd Also Like to See * Master's degree in applicable science or engineering discipline Career Band Professional Career Band Description * Roles in this band apply the knowledge in area of expertise to analyze information; design and develop new approaches, methodologies and processes; and, provide professional advice and guidance to others in accordance with professional quality standards Career Level Description P3: Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own field/discipline, solving complex problems with minimal guidance and oversight. Security Clearance Information SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
