Job Family Description

Project management personnel plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion. Program management personnel manage programs responsible for the execution of multiple projects or sub-projects. They secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. They manage projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.

Discipline Description

Program managers are responsible for managing organization activities and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. They perform the tasks and responsibilities associated with ongoing work efforts and oversee multiple related projects or initiatives within the organization. Program managers coordinate resources, timelines, and stakeholders to deliver outcomes that meet quality standards and drive overall success.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

* Develop and define the scopes of infrastructure projects.
* Prepare and submit Critical Decision Review (CDR) packages, including all supporting documentation.
* Maintain a prioritized list of recapitalization and line-item projects using the NNSA's Program Management Information System, commonly known as G2. This list will support annual funding requests for the Future Years Nuclear Security Program (FYNSP) process, ensuring alignment with the campus master plan and the annual Program Management Plan (PMP) guidance.
* Create and implement a new site-level process for initiating, developing, and submitting new plant projects.
* Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to develop siting analysis reports for urban and campus planning conceptual facilities and structures.
* Design and adapt site plans for infrastructure resources and accommodate future NNSA mission growth.
* Conduct environmental impact assessments to ensure that new projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
* Coordinate with stakeholders across the site and local governments to integrate their input into campus planning and development projects.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least fifteen years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least twelve years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE)
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
