Job Title: Assistant Project Manager Location: Daleville, VA Company: Munters Corporation About Us:We are seeking an organized, motivated, and detailed-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the planning, execution, and tracking of projects related to the development, production, and delivery of HVAC equipment for data centers. The APM will work closely with Project Managers, cross-functional teams to track project progress, assist in documentation, support stakeholder communication, help maintain project schedules and budgets. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in project management within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Project Support and Coordination:
- Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes.
- Track project action items and follow up with responsible parties to ensure timely completion.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and partners on routine project matters.
- Help prepare project status reports, presentations, and updates for stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including scope changes, approvals, and milestones.
- Assist with data collection and reporting on project KPIs, progress metrics, and financial performance.
Resource and Schedule Management:
- Support the allocation and coordination of resources across project activities.
- Monitor project schedules, flagging potential delays and assisting with corrective actions.
Risk and Issue Tracking:
- Support the identification and documentation of project risks and issues.
- Help develop and monitor mitigation plans under the guidance of the Project Manager.
Education and Experience
- BA/BS in Business Management, Accounting, Engineering, or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be qualifying.
- CAPM certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in project management support, coordination, or administrative role, preferably within either the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Exposure to capital projects or product development initiatives is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn project management methodologies and tools; CAPM certification is a plus.
