Who You Are...

As Regional Director of Finance, you will partner closely with regional, branch, and corporate leadership in an oversight role to review strategies regarding resourcing and managing financial operations, as well as safeguarding the Company's assets.

This Position...

Some examples of the work you might do includes:



  • Directs Branch Controllers and Directors of Finance to effectively and efficiently perform GAAP accounting duties related to month end, SOX compliance, and cash management, in alignment with standardized processes and procedures.
  • Ensures regional monthly/quarterly compliance with GAAP and SOX reporting compliance and testing standards, and reviews higher risk controls related to 404B.
  • Actively participates in monthly high risk project reviews, and works with local and regional leadership teams to analyze project trends/inefficiencies, identify any risks, and understand mitigation strategies.
  • Creates and reviews weekly audit reports, works with branches to understand issues, explanations, etc., and schedules follow up or branch/site visits as needed.
  • Participates in pre-acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration by reviewing the target's accounting processes and procedures, identifying internal control deficiencies, and working with acquisition for corrective action.
  • Reviews the annual plans and monthly forecasts, and coaches branch management on proper documentation and understanding of assumptions, risks, and variances.
  • Provides strategic recommendations to regional and branch management related to financial impacts.
  • Analyzes branch cash forecasts and coaches management on opportunities to maximize regional cash performance.
  • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of operational and financial information reported to key stakeholders, and identifies significant drivers of financial performance.
  • Collaborates with peers across the Company to drive continuous improvement of best practices, and ensure that both near and long-term strategies are devised on a fully informed basis.
  • All other duties as assigned.


What You Need...



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of related experience, with at least five (5) in financial accounting/management.
  • Well-rounded financial background, including experience with internal/external reporting, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting financial data.
  • Ability to leverage leadership skills to inspire and motivate in a performance-driven culture.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to successfully execute job tasks in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (additional travel may be required during acquisition integrations.
  • Additional travel may be required during acquisition integrations.
  • The Company's Work from Home Policy is applicable to this position.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Functional knowledge of the Work in Progress (WIP) schedule.
  • Previous financial experience in the construction industry.
  • Viewpoint construction software experience.
  • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) experience.

Work Environment:



  • This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and printers.


Physical Demands:



  • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects..
