JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Penn State Abington is searching for up to eight (8) part-time STEM Academy Teaching Assistants for an in-person math and science based high school program at a community organization in Northeast Philadelphia. The Teaching Assistants will be responsible for offering classroom support and content tutoring while working with faculty in STEM fields (Engineering, Math, Physics, IST, Computer Science). Project activities will occur between September 2025 and June 2025, with opportunities to extend project participation into later semesters. Program activities take place between 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on most weekdays. Teaching Assistants will generally work between 8-12 hours per week.Hourly compensation for this opening is $18/hour with long-term participation in the project potentially being at a higher rate and/or for additional hours.
