Resiliency & Emergency Response Coordinator

Overview

Oversee all aspects of JFG's Business Continuity & Emergency Management planning efforts including, but not limited to, establishing the overall response and recovery strategies, development of program policies and standards, and ensuring that the framework has been established to reduce the impact of a business interruption on JFG's daily operations.

This will be implemented by managing the day-to-day functions related to Business Continuity, Emergency Management, and Incident Management. This includes developing, coordinating, and maintaining comprehensive all-hazards response and recovery plans, as well as a validation methodology to ensure JFG's ability to respond and recover in the event of an unforeseen disruption.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Incident and Emergency Management

  • Create, update, and maintain Incident and Emergency Response guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain the framework for Corporate response.
  • Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for business continuity and emergency management, perform problem management, analyze root cause, and develop after action reports for high profile, high impact incidents.
  • Emergency Notification System Administration.

Business Continuity

  • Create, update, and maintain the business impact analysis (BIA) process for the enterprise. Evaluate BIA results for appropriateness and to understand business line and technology recovery objectives.
  • Create, update, and maintain all Line of Business response and recovery plans.
  • Create, update, and maintain Regional Branch Life Safety Plans.
  • Create, update and maintain Emergency Response Plans for Information Security (Cybersecurity), Facilities, IT Infrastructure, HR, Fraud, Marketing and Physical Security.

Governance, Coordination, Testing, Training

  • Responsible for the creation, implementation and administration of the Resiliency Program Framework, auditable policies, procedures, and standards for Business Continuity and Emergency Management.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology (IT) to ensure IT has developed adequate Technology Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Test and exercise Business Continuity, Emergency Response Plans, and critical functions identified through the JFG BIA process.
  • Conduct Risk Analyses for critical JFG locations and All-Hazards that may affect JFG.
  • Educate, mentor, consult, coach, and develop colleagues regarding their role and responsibilities regarding Business Continuity and Emergency Response.
  • Knowledge of FFIEC, ISO-22301 and ISO-27001
  • Cybersecurity
  • In addition to core continuity planning duties, the role supports cybersecurity risk initiatives to enhance organizational resilience against digital threats.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Professional Certification Preferred (CBCI, ABCM, CBCM, CBCP, MBCP or FEMA PCP-1)

Experience

  • Preferred 5+ years in Financial Services or heavily regulated industry.
  • Broad understanding of IT-DR, Business Continuity and Emergency Management Best Practices.
  • Minimum [defined in the distinction levels] years of related experience required- Business Continuity, Emergency Management, etc.
  • Strong preference to candidates with experience managing continuity and or incidents with a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and/or Business Continuity software system such as Archer GRC. Additional experience with mass notification system required.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong command presence amongst executive management.
  • Proven ability to work under stressful conditions, such as business-related emergency.
  • Managerial courage to confront difficult issues with the appropriate response and communicate appropriately and in a timely manner with all stakeholders in those issues.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, which allow candidate to relate well to all levels of management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proven competency in executing large projects, on time and within budget.
