Scope of Work:

The Production Control Clerk coordinates and tracks work orders, schedules, and maintenance activities at NSA Orlando MFSS, ensuring accurate documentation and support for contract compliance and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and record production and maintenance data from work orders, customer requests, and technical documents using various software tools.
  • Calculate and track output metrics such as quantities produced, materials used, scrap, defects, and production rates using spreadsheets or other systems.
  • Prepare production reports, schedules, and inventory requisitions; maintain accurate files and documentation.
  • Create and distribute work tickets and material requests; assist with payroll data entry and wage calculations from timecards.
  • Support shops with scheduling, resource tracking, and work order closeouts; monitor preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for service calls via phone, email, or in person.
  • Update and track work order statuses in Maximo or other work management systems.
  • Assist with basic accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, WIP tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and training requirements.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required, associate degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in production control, maintenance coordination, or administrative support (preferably in a government or facilities environment).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
  • Basic understanding of scheduling, inventory, and data entry procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret work orders, technical documents, and production reports.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service skills for interfacing with internal teams and external clients.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or desk.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and handling paperwork.
  • Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
