KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, HR Leave of Absence to join our the Talent & Culture organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage leave of absence data in Human Resources Information System (HRIS), collaborate with payroll and the third-party administrator to ensure pay accuracy during leaves and efficient processing of short-term and long-term disability claims
  • Provide guidance to employees, managers, and key stakeholders as it relates to leave of absence policies, procedures, and accommodations; serve as liaison between the employee, employee relations team, and absence management providers in case of escalated issues
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all leave of absence programs and policies; coordinate return-to-work processes, including accommodations and modified duty arrangements as necessary
  • Conduct regular audits of leave cases, third party administrator processes, and partner with offshore teams to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain knowledge of current, new, and changing leave and accommodation policies and laws including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and state and local laws
  • Partner with third party administrator, legal and employee relations team on leaves of absences including Short-Term Disability, FMLA, Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), accommodations, Long Term Disability and Worker's Compensation claims
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent experience managing leaves of absences, disability benefits, and accommodations in a complex, multi-state environment using a third-party administrator in a leveraged service model, in-depth understanding of state and federal laws related to leaves of absence including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, HIPPAA, and more
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in human resource (HR), business, or related field, or equivalent work experience; HR or Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) certification is preferred
  • Implementation of key HR policies and procedures/programs in absence management
  • Demonstrated capability to manage sensitive and confidential information; capability to juggle multiple priorities with focus on customer service; robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Service Now and/or absence management reporting tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to display executive presence in interactions with all levels of internal customers and team members; ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
