Position Overview
The mission of the Professional Selling Program (PSP) is to prepare students for successful careers in consultative selling. Graduates of the program will help consumers and businesses define their needs, understand and evaluate buying options, facilitate effective purchase decisions, and forge enduring relationships. The program serves two broad constituencies: students and industry partners.
The PSP Certificate Program Coordinator is responsible for independently managing various aspects of the Professional Selling Program with limited direction from their supervisor. The Program Coordinator will schedule, plan and execute multiple Sales Program events, track program budgets and expenses, develop communication materials, manage student experiential submissions, serve as a liaison to business partners, and more. This position may supervise student workers.
The Program Coordinator serves as a vital member of the School's staff and a resource to ensure that the PSP certificate offered by the School delivers a high-quality experience and adds value to the professional development of students. This position will interact with a wide-ranging group of people (faculty, staff, students, external sponsors, donors, and business partners) across multiple academic disciplines. Due to events, some evenings and weekends may be required.
This is a full-time, twelve-month, benefits-eligible, regular appointment. The position is designated as on-campus. Alternative and flexible work schedules will be evaluated as per KU policy and School guidelines. Pay and benefits are competitive.
