Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC, and Kennesaw, GA. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Lead and/or participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities Viewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors Responsible for multiple, complex projects Provide Operating System technical and break/fix level support Requirements: 10+ years of IT experience 10+ years of systems engineering experience Senior level experience Primarily with Linux Ability to recommend, design, develop, and implement software and hardware solutions Shell scripting and automation skills Proficient in performing OS administration tasks on RHEL6, RHEL7 running on ESX virtualized servers In depth Linux knowledge required, including LVM and SAN multipathing Expertise in RedHat Linux Clustering Solutions Proficient in performing OS administration tasks on SLES 11+ running on bare metal Client ProLiant DL580 Gen8 servers Proficient in troubleshooting any RHEL6, RHEL7 and SLES 11+ software and hardware issues Experience installing, configuring and Supporting Puppet Experienced with multipath, VAS/AD, yum, BladeLogic and ProLiant DL series, HP3PAR and Client Smart storage arrays admin CLIs Knowledge of SAN based disk solutions and their configurations Ability to debug and troubleshoot network, performance and software issues Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment Ability to work independently but also must be strong in team partnership Strong verbal and written communication skills IBM Power servers DB2 Database SAP Core financial applications Netapp Filer storage Cisco based networks SAP BWA application appliances SAP HANA database technology Very large-scale transactional processing Desired skills: Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications or substantial equivalent experience Experience with IBM AIX OS Experience in supporting and administration of SLES11+ running HANA DB Any experience on AIX virtualization, install upgrade and configure VIO servers and clients, AIX PowerHA clustering Familiarity with tools like BladeLogic, DNT, ESM, vsphere client Exposure to SAP product suite Pay Range: $63.68-$71.68 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
