Job Objective:

The Territory Account Manager is an entry-level sales role focused on developing customer relationships, growing existing accounts, and supporting territory sales initiatives. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with 1-2 years of sales experience who are eager to learn and grow within a structured and supportive sales environment. The Territory Account Manager will partner closely with senior sales leaders to reinforce account strategies, ensure customer satisfaction, and contribute to overall territory growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In addition to the key responsibilities outlined below, all associates are expected to perform duties as assigned by leadership. Responsibilities may vary based on territory or market needs.

Customer Engagement & Sales Support



  • Support the achievement of sales and profit goals by maintaining regular contact with assigned customers
  • Build and strengthen relationships with both new and existing customers within your territory
  • Assist in presenting products, promotions, and new services to customers
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and ensure appropriate follow-up
  • Maintain accurate customer records, pricing, and activity logs


Account Management & Growth



  • Collaborate with Territory Sales Representatives and sales leadership to develop account plans
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer purchases within assigned accounts
  • Promote company programs, capabilities, and seasonal campaigns to increase engagement
  • Monitor account performance and flag any service or product delivery issues for resolution
  • Gather customer feedback and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement


Sales Operations & Team Support



  • Maintain weekly itineraries and report key activity using company tools (e.g., CRM or MAP reports)
  • Partner with Inside Sales, Credit, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless customer service
  • Communicate any competitive pricing insights or market trends to the sales team
  • Participate in team training, ride-alongs, and coaching sessions to develop product and industry knowledge


Professional Representation & Responsibility



  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all customer and public interactions
  • Ensure company vehicle (if provided) is kept clean and maintained
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and operational standards
  • Support and promote company initiatives and sales campaigns
  • Travel within assigned territory as needed; must possess and maintain a valid driver's license


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales, customer service, or account support role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized with solid time management practices
  • Willingness to learn sales techniques, product knowledge, and industry trends
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively within a team
