Job Description: Microchip has an opportunity for a Senior Engineer I-Environmental/Safety (Senior Environmental Engineer)in the Environmental Health and Safety department at our Fab 4 semiconductor manufacturing facility in Gresham, Oregon. This position reports to the site Environmental Manager. They are responsible for ensuring that the facility complies with all environmental regulations and standards related to air, water, hazardous waste, recycling, and related environmental programs. They will also lead process improvement and cost reduction projects. They will maintain effective relationships to communicate with all levels of the organization across functional areas including specialists, technicians, engineers and managers as well as customers, contractors and suppliers.
