Shift Details: Mainly M-F dayshift but there direct reports on all shifts. May need to rotate to different shifts.

How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:

This position will be responsible for Ultrasound, Mammography, Molecular Imagng, and Imaging support staff.

Develops financial (budget) plans and effectively manages financial and human resources. Provides communication, organization, leadership, and problem solving to insure safe, cost effective, quality patient services which enhance patient experience and customer satisfaction.

  • Provides operational accountability for areas of responsibility. Establishes priorities and provides direction for lead technologists and staff.
  • Manages human resources through effective interview and hiring of employees, utilization of appropriate work schedules to meet patient care needs, setting performance expectations, mentoring, providing regular feedback, coaching and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Serves as a role model for staff and the management team. Serves as an ambassador for Carilion Clinic.
  • In conjunction with senior leaders, develops a budget plan and demonstrates appropriate ongoing expense management. Participates in strategic planning for areas of responsibility. Regularly reviews financial and statistical data, takes appropriate action and creates reports as requested.
  • Ensures safe, high quality care for patients, collaboratively develops and implements programs or processes to continuously enhance patient experience and satisfaction.. Monitors and evaluates customer satisfaction, and the quality of services provided.
  • Facilitates the professional growth and development of staff through orientation, continuing education, and effective performance appraisal systems.
  • Communicates appropriate information to the Senior Director and other team members in an ongoing and timely manner. Maintains productive, collaborative relationships with physicians, staff, management staff, other Carilion departments and external stakeholders. .
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable licensure, government, and accrediting standards, including completion and submission of appropriate clinical images and documentation manuals.
  • Promotes Carilion's Culture of Excellence and quality service through teamwork, respectful communication, maintenance of a professional environment, partnership with those we serve, and anticipation of patient's and customer's needs.
What We Require:

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience: 5 years of experience Inpatient or Outpatient Imaging area. Management experience preferred.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Certification or registration in a radiologic related technology preferred.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Satisfactory completion of Managers Orientation program. Must possess positive interpersonal communication skills, effective written skills, analytical finance skills, and a customer-focused philosophy of service delivery. Must support Carilion's Mission, Vision, and Values in everyday practice and be willing to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
