The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $172,720.00 to $215,900.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Job Summary

As the Director, Business Development at Pernod Ricard USA, you'll drive national commercial planning and customer activation strategies across our Chains division. This is a unique opportunity to shape how our iconic brands show up in retail environments, influence strategic planning, and fuel sustainable growth. You'll collaborate across sales, marketing, and eCommerce to ensure our Chains customers are at the heart of every decision.

What you'll do

  • Lead the Chains Planning & Strategy team, overseeing national customer activation and commercial planning initiatives.
  • Drive the Joint Business Planning (JBP) process with key Chains customers, ensuring alignment with brand and channel strategies.
  • Partner with Sales, Brand, Channel, and eCommerce teams to integrate customer insights into annual planning and program development.
  • Deliver compelling customer-facing materials, including sell decks and program recaps, that reflect brand standards and shopper insights.
  • Track and analyze program performance, calculating ROI and capturing key learnings to inform future strategies.
  • Represent Chains in the annual planning process, ensuring customer needs are embedded in all national programs.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and growth.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in marketing, trade/retail management, or brand strategy, with exposure to sales and customer activation.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional planning processes and develop customer-centric strategies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
