Pay Range

$140,700 - $178,392 Annually for the SES.2 level

$168,780 - $214,032 Annually for the SES.3 level

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting; pay will not be below any applicable local minimum wage. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.


Job Description

We have an opening for a ServiceNow Developer to capture customer's requirements, build technical specifications, and develop solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This position will work with a team comprised of developers and a technical lead to deliver the entire SDLC. This position is in the Information Solutions Division (ITSD) within the Computing Directorate, supporting the Enterprise Secure Network (ESN) Hub mission program.

This position offers a hybrid schedule, blending in-person and virtual presence. You will have the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week.

This position will be filled at eitherlevel based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.

You will

  • Engage with customers and stakeholders in a national enterprise, helping to determine the feasibility of implementing their use-cases in the ServiceNow platform. Solicit customer requirements and develop technical applications to support requests.
  • Create and configure applications in ServiceNow through the design and development of moderately complex scripts, workflows and integrations, with a focus on limiting technical debt.
  • Contribute to technical projects aligned with broader organizational objectives, functioning as an effective team member on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Support maintenance activities and updates to an On-Premise solution of ServiceNow.
  • Interface with a nationwide ServiceNow user community; supporting the troubleshooting of IT Service Management applications, workflows automation, and business processes built in the ServiceNow platform.
  • Develop in an Agile manner utilizing the SCRUM module in ServiceNow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional job responsibilities, at the SES.3 level

  • Create, configure, and customize complex applications developed in ServiceNow. Lead advanced design and code reviews.
  • Develop integrations between ServiceNow applications and external business applications.
  • Develop innovative solutions by collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, to solve complex problems in the ServiceNow environment.

Qualifications
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Skilled in all aspects of software project life cycle: feasibility, requirements, design, implementation, integration, test, and deployment.
  • Broad experience implementing IT Service Management applications comparable to applications in the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and/or supporting integrated computing environments in an enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in the development of innovative solutions for cross-organizational challenges.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a role that requires a high degree of maturity, discretion, and judgement.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively collaborate in a team environment and explain, present and document technical solutions, and influence customers.

Additional qualifications at the SES.3 level

  • Significatn experience leading technical efforts and recommending technical approaches and solutions.
  • Significant experience architecting IT Service Management applications comparable to applications in the ServiceNow platform.
  • Significant experience defining solutions, implementing, maintaining, and/or supporting integrated computing environments in an enterprise environment, and effectively communicating vision, preparing and presenting business process strategies and plans to all levels of management.

Qualifications We Desire

  • Experience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment.
  • Extensive Knowledge of ITIL principles and processes is preferred. ServiceNow, Process or ITSM certifications (e.g., SCRUM Master, ITIL Practitioner) are a plus.
  • Knowledge of LLNL and NNSA policies, practices, organizational structures, culture, and missions.

Security Clearance

This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.If you are selected, wewill initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if youmeet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.
