Kratos Defense Rocket Support Services is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Glen Burnie, Maryland to participate in design and analysis of unguided and guided suborbital launch vehicles. Applicants will be responsible for assisting with conducting studies; technical assessments and analysis of systems to determine system electrical performance and effectiveness; electrical system design, layout, test, and integration. Support system demonstrations and deployments as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Prepares draft engineering documentation (ie. drawings, specifications, parts lists, interface control documents, test procedures, etc.).
  • Prepares and updates Redlined documentation such as Specifications and Procedures.
  • Organizes engineering data produced by the Engineering Department.
  • Formats, composes, proofreads and finalizes internal and external correspondence including; memos, letters, reports, manuals, procedures, presentations, and bulletins. Prepares and routes Engineering Change Notices (ECNis) produced by the department.
  • Tracks ECRis to completion.
  • Assists with assigned projects as required.
  • Attends vendor, customer and IPT Engineering meetings as required. Prepares agenda, presentation materials, and minutes.
  • Makes arrangements necessary for onsite meetings, including meetings with vendors as needed.

Required Experience:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Sound knowledge of engineering concepts.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Detailed understanding and application of technical documentation and engineering processes and practices.
  • Ability to review Engineering Change Notices (ECNis).
  • Ability to generate compliant documentation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.


Preferred



  • Electrical system design, layout, test, and integration experience.
  • Competency with electronics benchtop prototyping, test and analysis.



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Enrolled in an accredited BS Degree program in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline
