Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our dynamic team focused on Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) research. The ideal candidate will support various aspects of ongoing research projects, including data collection, analysis, and the development of BCI technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research that may significantly impact the field of neuroscience and assistive technologies.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
* At least five years of related clinical research operations experience.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
*Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite programs.
*Demonstrated knowledge of GCP and ICH and the application to the conduct of clinical trials.
*Demonstrated expertise with IRB protocols and processes.
*Thorough understanding of cross-functional clinical processes, including clinical supply and data management.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate successful approaches to addressing issues that arise in the implementation of each study.
*Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
*Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse constituent population in a constructive and engaging manner.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Demonstrated supervisory skills.
*Strong attention to detail.
*Ability to travel to offsite locations that may not be accessible via public transportation.

Essential duties
* Experiment Execution: Assist in the setup and execution of BCI experiments, including participant recruitment, instruction, and monitoring during data collection sessions. Make informed product and procedure design and process recommendations based on outcomes.
* Signal Processing: Support signal processing tasks, including the preprocessing of EEG/EMG data and the application of algorithms for feature extraction.
* Equipment Maintenance: Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring optimal working conditions.
* Data Documentation and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, data, and findings. Analyze experimental data using statistical software and interpret results to assess BCI performance and user experience. Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing research outcomes.
* Literature Review: Conduct literature reviews to support ongoing research efforts, summarizing relevant findings and methodologies from current BCI studies.
* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with researchers, graduate students, and external partners to facilitate communication and input in research design and implementation.
* Technical Support: Development and optimization of BCI software and hardware as needed, providing technical support for research activities.
* Ethics and Compliance: Comply with ethical guidelines and institutional policies concerning human subject research. Maintain and execute quality control activities to uphold research integrity.
* Assure that records of all research activities are maintained
