Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a Regional Philanthropy Officer - Kentuckiana to join our team in Louisville, KY Regional Philanthropy Officer (RPO) is responsible for managing a portfolio of leadership and major gift donors to develop and implement a regional strategy, while identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors in their assigned region. Essential Duties:
Develop and manage a portfolio of 150+ major gift prospects to make gifts of $10,000 and higher. Develop and execute thoughtful, innovative, and individualized strategies for identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors. Engage with donors and prospective donors via email, phone, text, in person, and virtual meetings. Work closely with the Executive Director, Planned and Individual Giving to create and measure regional cross organization objectives and key results. Work with local and system foundation leadership to advance giving in multiple markets, with a focus on the Kentuckiana region. Play a central role in developing, overseeing, and managing major gift strategies and programs, and coordinating them with other areas of the department's advancement efforts. Research and communicate with prospects to qualify for major gift potential. Work with donors to help accomplish their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with Baptist Health. Meet metrics and KPIs related to activities, meetings, qualifications, solicitations and dollars raised. Partner with allies to engage their referrals. Track and report progress in database using specific metrics. Work with System Foundation team to develop a pipeline of opportunities in different philanthropic categories including Corporate, Planned, and Annual Giving Assist in annual Baptist Health Gives employee giving campaign, focusing on major gift donors.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required
Bachelor's degree with two years in philanthropy role either higher education or healthcare. 3+ years in a frontline philanthropic role preferred. 5+ years direct experience within healthcare or higher education setting in lieu of degree.
