Strategic Project Manager

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Project Manager to lead and execute cross-functional change management initiatives across our manufacturing operations. This role will focus on driving transformation programs that improve efficiency, integrate new technologies, align organizational goals, and support strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong project management capabilities, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and a passion for orchestrating complex change.

This position is based in Darien, WI.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership & Strategy Execution

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of cross-functional change initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and KPIs
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment between projects and broader business goals

Change Management

• Develop and implement comprehensive change management plans, including stakeholder analysis, communication strategies, and training programs
• Act as a change agent to build awareness, alignment, and readiness for transformation initiatives across all levels of the organization
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement and culture change to support new ways of working

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Facilitate strong collaboration between departments such as operations, engineering, sales, HR, IT, procurement, and supply chain
• Resolve conflicts, manage interdependencies, and ensure timely decision-making among project stakeholders

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor project progress using project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
• Track and report on performance metrics, identify risks, and drive corrective actions as needed
• Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
• Any other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, or related field
• MBA or PMP certification preferred
• 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional projects with a change management component

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of manufacturing environments, operations workflows, and supply chain integration
• Expertise in project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma)
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
• Analytical and strategic thinking with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira)

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with digital transformation or ERP implementations
• Ability to influence without authority and lead diverse teams
• High resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, change-heavy environment
