Overview

The Shop Parts Runner/Support is an entry level position whose primary functions is to assist in the day-to-day functions of the Mechanic Shop; pick up pre-ordered parts, receiving, inventory management and other equipment as needed and deliver tools and other equipment to job sites. The Shop Parts Runner/Support will also be responsible for keeping the shop area neat and will assist mechanics as needed.



Responsibilities

    Ensures the shop and yard is kept clean, organized, and in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Maintains wash schedule of work trucks and other vehicles.
  • Uses equipment such as skid steers and blowers to complete jobs quickly and in an efficient manner.
  • Orders, picks up and drops off vehicle parts, materials and equipment.
  • Assist with inventory maintenance of shop supplies and of replacement parts and equipment
  • Inspects tools and equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain and uphold all Safety procedures and protocols set forth by the company.
  • May be responsible for opening and/or closing and locking the shop and equipment as needed.


Qualifications

  • Must have a Driver's license Must have and maintain a clean driving record
  • Must speak, read and write English, Spanish fluency desired
  • Parts Experience Desired
  • Basic safety knowledge of tools and surroundings
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry 50lbs.
  • The work is physically demanding and requires lifting, bending or standing for long periods of time
  • Manual dexterity and strength sufficient enough to use hand tools and power tool
