Overview Laboratory Analyst LOCATION: Kennedy Space Center, FL JOB STATUS: Full Time Citizenship: U.S. Citizen Required Astrion is seeking a dedicated and experienced Laboratory Analyst to support the LASSO II contract within our Space Division. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical aerospace operations at the Kennedy Space Center. The selected candidate will assist chemists in analytical determinations, support laboratory functions, and ensure the highest standards in safety and quality compliance. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist chemists in analytical determinations through sample collection, experiment execution, and data recording. Conduct measurements using advanced analytical instruments and maintain accurate documentation of chemical analysis results. Perform calibration, standardization, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment. Prepare analytical solutions and gas mixtures for laboratory use. Support specialized tests and projects including troubleshooting and aerospace system simulations. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards (EPA/FL, DOH/NELAC). REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS High school diploma required. Minimum of 1 year of general laboratory analytical experience is required. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Ability to use computers and printers used for Work instructions, viewing drawings & specifications, producing reports, time keeping and schedules. Experience using a variety of equipment used in Fabrication and testing. Including common hand tools, measurement instruments, torque wrenches, etc. Full-time regular work hours between Monday-Friday. Position may require overtime including weekend work depending on task. Must be dependable and punctual. Shift work may be required. Candidates must be able to pass the following Kennedy Space Center-provided physicals: Fuel Handler Visual: Micro-Particle Counter Respirator Certification
