The NYC Department of Transportation is seeking a qualified Principal Administrative Associate to serve within the Training and Development Unit, a division of Human Resources and Facility Management. Reporting directly to the Director of Training and Development, the selected candidate will assume the role of Training Specialist, with primary responsibilities including the delivery and in-person facilitation of safety and workplace compliance training programs. Minimum Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or Preferred Skills
-Demonstrated experience in adult education, training, or K-12 instruction. -Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong public speaking and presentation capabilities. -Knowledge of adult learning theories and strategies to effectively engage adult learners. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. -Experience in writing and reviewing test preparation material is strongly preferred. -Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is highly desirable. -Familiarity with virtual training platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. 55a Program
