Medical Assistant - Gastro Tech Hyattsville, MD Pay From: $22 per hour MUST: The experienced Medical Assistant will have experience: Working in gastroenterology 2 plus years of hands-on clinical experience Must have experience assisting with in office minor procedures MUST have CPR certification Experience starting IV's is a plus Assist docs with GI procedures Clean and sterilize equipment DUTIES: The Medical Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Assist licensed physicians and nurses in treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders Performs direct patient care activities under a physician's supervision Assists with medical procedures, the technician ensures that all equipment is functioning properly before use He or she must be familiar with rules, standards, practices, and procedures and must hold excellent experience and sound judgment to accomplish the goals of the procedure Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
