Responsibilities

We are seeking a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Analyst to support our security operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in monitoring and investigating cybersecurity threats, helping to maintain a secure environment, and assisting in vulnerability management and forensic analysis. This position requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with the security team to protect our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

    Monitor & Detect Threats: Continuously track computer networks for security issues, cyber threats, and suspicious activity.
  • Incident Investigation & Documentation: Analyze security breaches, assess potential risks, document findings, and help develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support Vulnerability Testing: Work with the security team to conduct penetration tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
  • Security Maintenance: Install and configure security measures, such as firewalls and data encryption software, to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Forensic Analysis & Data Recovery: Conduct analysis of security incidents, confirm intrusions, and create forensically sound duplicates of affected files.
  • Assist with Incident Response Handling: Support deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs) during cyber events and contribute to real-time cyber defense efforts.
  • Security Best Practices & Compliance: Provide recommendations for IT security improvements based on industry standards and evolving threats.


Qualifications

  • Experience in cybersecurity operations, security monitoring, or vulnerability assessment.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001) and industry best practices.
  • Experience with SIEM tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, and encryption technologies.
  • Knowledge of penetration testing, threat analysis, and forensic investigation techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze security data effectively.
  • A current/active TS/SCI security clearance and the ability to obtain/pass a polygraph.
  • Associates degree and 4+ years of experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience; OR Master's Degree and 0+ years of experience; 6 years with no degree.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
