Job Summary

The Event Ops Program Manager L3-PTS is responsible for the management and oversight of event and guest parking at Georgia Tech; provides leadership and expertise in coordinating parking logistics for all major and minor events and daily guest parking with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends. The Manager will represent the department as an operational liaison to support a variety of campus partners such as Athletics, Student Services, Police as well as interact with campus community members and guests. The Manager will develop and lead a high performing service-oriented team to ensure excellent customer service to the campus community. This position reports to the Director of Parking.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Manage team that oversees all small- and large-scale event parking activities from the request process through event completion and completion of after-action assessments.

Job Duty 2 -
Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, and providing feedback.

Job Duty 3 -
Serve as the main point of contact for management of events in campus parking facilities.

Job Duty 4 -
Provide support to the team in processing events during high-traffic periods.

Job Duty 5 -
Serve as the main point of contact for the parking needs related to high-profile and large-scale events.

Job Duty 6 -
Ensure proper logistics, procedures, and support are in place, required for the successful execution of event parking needs.

Job Duty 7 -
Collect, verify, analyze event parking data, and provide senior management with reporting and data submissions at the conclusion of each event.

Job Duty 8 -
Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with campus partners and stakeholders.

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other job-related duties assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Two or more years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Certifications, Licenses or Permits:
Project Management Professional - (PMP)
Certified associate in project management - (CAPM)
Experience in a higher education institution.
Proficiency in AIMS or other Parking Management systems.
Knowledge/experience working with PARCS equipment.
Knowledge/experience working with event handheld equipment

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree

Preferred Experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES:

o Proficiency in T2 Flex or other Parking Management systems
o Experience in a higher education institution
o Knowledge/experience working with TIBA equipment

Plan, coordinate, and manage all parking logistics for campus events.
2+ years of experience in parking operations management or event planning.
Collaborate with event planners, venue staff, and logistics teams to align parking requirements with event timelines.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Essential duties require working in inclement weather; ability to lift barricades/signs weighing at least 50 pounds; drive department carts and vehicles; use computer, cell phone, radios and other technical tools to facilitate duties.

KNOWLEDGE
This job requires enhanced knowledge of current parking industry practices and event management.
Excellent oral and written communications; customer service skills.
The ability to multi-task, and attention to detail is required, Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
This position will supervise a team of professional staff; supervision of staff, training and development is required.
Additionally, this position requires the ability to stay calm in stressful, fast-paced situations, and must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment.

SKILLS
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet.
Organizational skills to effectively manage events from start to finish.
Leadership skills to hire, train and supervise a team of professional employees.
Interpersonal skills: Work effectively and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication for liaising with departments and student groups.
Event planning and execution: Ability to create, lead, and execute campus events across multiple locations.
