Hourly Pay Range:

$38.67 - $59.94 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Full time, 40 hours/week

What you will do:

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. This includes knowledge of the physical and psychological needs of patients served and the ability to respond appropriately to those needs.
  • Demonstrates clinical knowledge in the area of specialty.
  • Facilitates quality improvement in department-based initiatives.
  • Oversees the implementation and evaluation of the standards of patient care for the program incorporating and developmental status.
  • Mentors and coaches staff in the development of their capabilities and understanding of their role, utilizing concurrent feedback, and role modeling and leadership skills. Supports and enhances professional growth.
  • Maintains climate conducive to open and positive communication. Fosters autonomy of professional staff. Communicates with patient, parent or significant other based on level of comprehension and understanding.
  • Supports and ensures that staff possesses the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care by identifying physical, psychosocial and developmental needs and adapting interventions accordingly.
  • Cultivates an atmosphere of patient focused care.
  • Procedures: Ensures that staff performs procedures utilizing approaches and equipment appropriate to the patient's age and size.
  • Patient Education: Ensures that staff provides information and instructions at a level of understanding appropriate to the comprehension level of the patient/family and/or significant other.
  • Evaluates environmental factors for safety and adherence to regulatory agencies. Maintains safe and cost- effective delivery.
  • Maintains proficiency in system-wide computer system.
  • Supports the principles for Relationship Based Care
  • Participates and leads in a Shared Governance environment that supports nursing excellence
  • Works with manager of front-end operations to oversee staff.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant healthcare field
  • Current State of Illinois licensure or certification
  • Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
  • A valid driver's license if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of ambulatory management experience
  • Preferred Skills: Strong supervisory skills, excellent leadership, and budgeting/financial skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven leadership in change management and conflict resolution
