KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, HR Business Advisor to join our Talent and Culture organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a strategic business advisor to the Chicago Metro Business Unit leader and respective client group on talent strategy
  • Leverage data analytics to provide insights to leaders to identify, diagnose and respond to trends in their business; based on analyses, develop strategic recommendations for talent solutions such as action items as a result of periodic employee engagement surveys or exit surveys
  • Stay current on policies and procedures and apply these to client group; collaborate with the People Relations Group and other Talent and Culture Centers of Excellence to support the talent strategy
  • Oversee full compliance of the firm's performance development process for client group, providing counsel to management on how to effectively link business strategy to goal setting and provide timely, meaningful feedback during the annual expectation setting talent review and year-end review processes
  • Provide counsel and guidance on salary issues related to internal promotions, new hire compensation and market/equity adjustments; collaborate with the compensation group to develop and interpret job assignments, appropriate FLSA classification and internal/external equity, both within their practice and on a practice and/or functional level
  • Play an integral role in the client group's talent management processes
Qualifications:
  • Minimum eight years of recent progressive relevant HR and/or comparable experience, with comprehensive knowledge of HR-related principles, laws, and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in human resource management, organizational development or business administration or the equivalent work experience; Master's degree from an accredited college or university in an HR-related field or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with the firm's partners and employees
  • Capable of coaching and training individuals in critical HR competencies
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. with the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
