KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, General Ledger Accounting to join our Finance and Accounting group in our Dallas office.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle complex activities related to maintaining general ledger accounts, while working with other departments to ensure compliance with processes and procedures
  • Mentor and provide technical direction to both onshore and offshore Dallas Accounting Shared Centre (DASC) teams, including the review of offshore work, and interact with controllers, partners, employees, and offshore team members as necessary
  • Exercise independent judgment in creating and selecting methods for completing work assignments, advising staff of any policy and procedural changes
  • Analyze and address issues by evaluating various alternatives within a wide range of established procedures, with decisions generally subject to review by higher management, and communicate these decisions with management, regional analysts, and the offshore team
  • Prepare special complex reports and analyses, collaborating with staff to update policy and procedure documents for the department
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in accounting
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting operations, including account processes, procedures, and general ledger (GL) management, Balance Sheet Analysis, Fixed Assets, Expatriate, and Relocation accounting
  • Ability to guide staff regarding account processes and procedures, with proficiency in MS applications
  • Working knowledge of the SAP General Ledger Module is preferred
  • Capability to oversee efforts to meet deadlines, ensuring constant interaction and communication with all relevant stakeholders to optimize efficiency
