Position Responsibilities

The Payroll Implementation Specialist is responsible for being the initial contact for all new clients to begin the needs assessment (statement of work for payroll), data collection, build out of the payroll systems, training, and processing of the first payroll in close coordination with the client. This position provides a positive and high-quality service to all new clients onboarding with CE and requires a thorough understanding of payroll practices, processes, and applicable taxation laws.

Principle Job Responsibilities:

  • Main and single point of contact with new clients during the implementation process
  • Performs client requirement gathering, configuration, implementation and training of proprietary CE software
  • Accomplishes compliance work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling new clients transition into CE payroll
  • Responsible for collection of data to build current year payroll to balance the new system to previous quarterly and individual payroll information
  • Communicate with other departments the status and coordinate additional product setup with implementation setup
  • Remain engaged with client throughout implementation, until client is successfully running payroll through CE
  • Provide timely and high-quality service to meet our clients' expectations
  • Evaluating causes of notice and correcting the error by adjusting procedures and controls
  • Assist in payroll processing in a backup capacity
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • CPP/FPC preferred (is desired)
Work Experience:
  • ComputerEase experience preferred (is desired)
  • Requires 5+ years of multi - state payroll
  • Understanding of Local Tax Setups
  • Strong Customer Service background
  • Working knowledge of best practices
  • Working knowledge of various payroll systems - Quickbooks, Kronos, ADP, PCPW, Payforce, and Query (is desired)

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $46500.00 - $81250.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
