Senior Analyst - Strategic Engagement & Analytics

Your role on the team:



  • Responsible for training new members of SE&A and CSO on analytical tools and processes
  • Serves as the internal CRM reporting resource for account management team by developing, running, and distributing reports and providing recommendations to account managers.
  • Establishes a platform that will allow the account management group to crossover into predictive analytics that will support operations.
  • Supports management and client by providing in-depth data analysis of strengths/weaknesses in current execution of strategies; Compiles data into reports that supports both findings and recommendations quantitatively and qualitatively and clearly articulates compelling business insights and actions with data and context.
  • Develops and conducts customer-specific account health and trend analyses based on key operational data to support quarterly business reviews and other meetings; Determines appropriate trends to monitor for customers.
  • Assesses performance trends and proposes corrective measures in case of performance deterioration; provides recommendations for enhancing supply chain strategy.
  • Proactively identifies potential red flags and notifies internal customers (i.e., operations and account owners); Supports Field Finance in assessing the impact of any deviation from contractual parameters.
  • Develops accurate, consistent, and comprehensive network strategy reports; Identifies potential issues and provides recommendations for solution; Identifies opportunities and develops strategy and works with functional groups to pull together to present to client.
  • Uses historical data to assist key account manager in the development of a roadmap to success for customers.
  • Leverages data available, identifies opportunities and potential and likely outcomes from putting recommendations into action including but not limited to: ROI, NPV, and other financial metrics
  • Communicates via assigned methods (verbal, written, formal presentation) to management and client all assigned reports on position activities by assigned due dates.
  • Assesses New Technology to determine if an adequate ROI can be achieved and advises leadership on technical opportunities and shortcomings of both current and potential software investments
  • Supports GEODIS' programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability


What you need:



  • Minimum 4 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in creative problem solving, study and reporting design, time management, self confidence, data mining, analysis, accountability, practicality, communication, and presentation
  • Knowledge of computer software and internet browsing technology
  • PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to aggregate complex data in a clear and consistent manner.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to link data collected with overall business strategy and deliver sound recommendations.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into performance metrics.
  • Ability to articulate the relationship between data findings, proposals, and expected results both internally and externally.
  • Subject matter expertise in data visualization platforms (i.e. PowerBI, YellowFin, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and VBA
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to form synergies and maintain smooth, effective internal and external working relationships.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
