The Assistant Nurse Manager has accountability for the clinical and administrative leadership of the assigned patient care area under the Nurse Manager. The position assures the delivery of quality patient care and accomplishment of the goals and objectives of the UnityPoint Health Meriter system. The Assistant Nurse Manager assists the Nurse Manager in the control, coordination and evaluation of human, material and fiscal resources in the assigned patient care area. The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for promoting a collaborative environment in which excellence in patient care can be delivered.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing strongly preferred. Candidates without BSN may be considered on a case by case basis and should be enrolled in a program with a completion date within 24 months.
License/Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of Wisconsin
Experience:
  • 3 years of nursing experience
  • Previous management experience
Other:
  • MSN (MSN not required but highly recommend that graduate degree be pursued - MS in Business or Health related field will be considered if BSN background
  • ANCC specialty certification in area of practice
