This Contract Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Administering and maintaining the department's database of vendor contracts and notifies contracting management and staff of expiring contracts to ensure continuity of supplies and equipment
  • Ensuring timely processing of contract changes including price adjustments, product change notifications, new and revised service contracts terms and dates, and vendor and GPO price changes
  • Coordinating service contract files to ensure that they are renewed in a timely manner and meet all the specifications and guidelines from the Biomedical Engineering Dept
  • Interfacing with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and non-GPO vendors to communicate locally negotiated pricing
  • Negotiating contract renewals with vendors working with the Administrative Director, Supply Chain Management and Purchasing Manager as needed. Ensuring consideration of reimbursement issues in negotiations. Ensures Finance team is advised of changes in products and pricing. Working with user departments on cost savings initiatives. Working with suppliers to develop and manage continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, service and price
  • Utilizing available resources such as ECRI (Emergency Care Research Institute) and MD Buyline to document, compare and contrast equipment options, return on investment, etc. Reviewing all contracts for inclusion and compliance of quality, warranty, supply and delivery aspects
  • Participating in assigned Value Analysis committees preparing materials to support Committee activities and reviews
  • Assisting Buyers with purchases requiring use of procurement card and with pricing issues and match exceptions.(P.O./contract exceptions). Overseeing and tracking the departmental procurement card and charges made to the card

To qualify you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or closely related field & at least 2 years of closely related experience
  • CMRP (Certified Risk Management Professional) designation is preferred
  • The ability to solve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and indepth, experiencedbased crossfunctional knowledge
  • Knowledge of Materials Management and other operational and inventory systems
