Job Summary
The Associate Maintenance Technician, will provide entry level support related to basic HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical repairs and maintenance.
Key Duties
Primary responsibility will be for assisting in the daily preventative/routine maintenance on HVAC, Refrigeration, Production and Laboratory small equipment and purified water systems.
- Assisting in repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment, utilities, buildings and grounds.
- Performs all requests as assigned through the computerized maintenance management system (Blue Mountain).
- Document work performed on manufacturing equipment with work orders.
- Respond to after hour call-ins for equipment failures.
- May work non-standard shifts and weekends to support production or maintenance needs and/or to complete work that would otherwise interfere with production.
- On-call duties will be required (on a rotational basis) due to environmental monitoring activities.
- Communicate daily with co-workers and manager through shift notes.
- Use computer software to access maintenance files, procedures, e-mail, etc.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain valid driver's license.
- Mechanical Aptitude, and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to learn basic electrical, mechanical and automated controls troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to work successfully in a team environment that requires flexibility.
- Must be able to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing and interact professionally with all levels in the organization.
- Must possess good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to perform job requirements independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
- Able to perform under pressure and handle stressful situations along with readily adapting to changing job duties.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
- Able to maintain attendance and punctuality requirements.
