Job Summary:

As the IT & OT Manager your primary role is to ensure that you with your team support the system owners with the technical aspects of IT and OT systems. You are responsible for ensuring the effective operations, maintenance, and day-to-day support of the systems used by our production, QC, and other support functions.

Besides this you also establish the bridge between line of business and IT & OT, utilizing your in-dept understanding of the different technologies to help your business colleagues solve their needs through effective IT & OT solutions.

You are also personally driving and supporting technical improvement projects within IT/OT, while ensuring that we follow regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This includes ensuring good structures around our operations and maintenance of the systems, but over time you and your team will be shifting your focus increasingly to innovation and improvements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the IT & OT team at the site
  • Drive the development and execution of our site IT/OT strategy and roadmap, while ensuring alignment with the site leadership team as well as our global Ferring IT/OT functions and roadmaps
  • Ensure the support and administration of our local systems, incl. implementation, technical support, troubleshooting, first point of escalation, and execution of business continuity (recovery) procedures
  • Ensure effective coordination and good collaboration with Ferring's global IT & OT functions, including the implementation of relevant global solutions on our site
  • Secure and as necessary participate in the creation and maintenance of relevant system documentation (e.g., URS, risk assessments, qualification documentation, system manuals etc.)
  • Facilitate communication between system owners, IT/OT functions, and suppliers
  • Ensure implementation of systems with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Help our system owners improve their business processes; identify their needs and advise them on solutions and opportunities, as well as how to handle their systems in line with the IT/OT strategy
  • Identify and communicate relevant IT/OT technical opportunities, risks, and problems timely
  • Being overall responsible for our suppliers within IT & OT

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Operational Technology
  • 5 to 7 years' experience in Manufacturing (e.g. IT/OT manager, system manager/responsible, consultant, IT/OT administrator or similar in a GxP regulated environment in the pharma industry)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a people manager
  • Analytic skills and strong systematic problem solving, and good working with internal and external people across all levels in the organization
  • Ability to understand the process and solution architecture E2E across multiple technologies.
  • Capable to propose alternatives from process, change, business viewpoints to best implement standard solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer oriented
  • Good communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Experience in SAP strongly preferred
  • Strong Manufacturing and Quality Control business application knowledge such as Manufacturing Execution System (MES) including Material Flow Control, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Continued Process Verification (CPV), Serialization, Laboratory Software, Laboratory Execution System (LES)
  • Experience in MES Rockwell PharmaSuite is a plus
  • Experience in PTC Thingworx Platform is a plus
  • Experience in HPLC software such as Waters Empower is a plus
  • Experience in Serialization (Antares) is a plus

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $126,000 to $165,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.

Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees, a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellness benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees to accrue up to 120 hours in the first four (4) years of employment, and 160 hours in the fifth (5th) year of employment as well as 15 paid holidays per year.
