The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description

The Credential Intake Assistant is responsible for requesting and processing requests for academic credentials and transcripts from prospective students. They maintain aspects of the academic record by receiving and maintaining student documentation of course work under consideration for transfer.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process and evaluate transcript and credential requests for prospective or continuing graduate students.

  • Ensure that requests are accurately processed, fulfilled in a timely manner, and comply with university policies and regulations.

  • Act as an individual contributor to provide support in a variety of routine and standardized responsibilities within the Credential Evaluation team.

  • Maintain assigned aspects of the academic record including, but not limited to, receiving, and maintaining student documentation under consideration for review, and accurately record results in the appropriate systems.

  • Maintain all pertinent records in compliance with federal and state laws, university regulations and policies. The associate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to be both a team player and independent contributor.

  • Works efficiently and reports worktime accurately, to be good stewards of the student's tuition dollars.

  • Collaborate with a team lead, supervisor/manager as needed.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Stay current on available resources to support the academic success of students.

  • Receptive to feedback and coaching.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • Requires basic knowledge of processes and procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other similar software applications.

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

Preferred Experience

1 or more years of related experience.

Position & Application Details
