Do you possess exceptional investigative and communication skills? The Pennsylvania Insurance Department, Healthcare Division, is eagerly seeking motivated Insurance Investigator 2s to join our team of professionals. In this role, you will utilize your skills to investigate consumer complaints in order to determine company and producer compliance with existing statutes and regulations. Your ability to educate consumers and respond to inquiries on matters relating to their insurance needs is also key to this position. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Insurance Investigator 2, you will be responsible for reviewing and investigating complex consumer complaints in relation to life, health, disability, and/or property and casualty lines of insurance. You will have the opportunity to utilize your detailed knowledge of insurance principles, practices, and laws as you address telephone calls and inquiries from the public and licensees regarding various regulations, statutes, adjudications, and industry trends. Additional duties to include but not limited to:
- Handling special assignments and projects
- Making sound decisions and recommendations
- Referring any trends and suspected violations to management in a timely manner
- Representing the department at consumer events
- Traveling as needed
- Testifying at hearings

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be required to report in-office once per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Insurance Investigator 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Seven years of experience as an insurance investigator, underwriter, agent, broker or claims adjuster. College level training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for four years of the required experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
