Description

We are hiring a Materials and Production Logistics Manager to lead our planning and materials strategy at AMQ-where operational execution and strategic transformation go hand in hand.

This critical leadership role manages a distributed North American team in production planning, material flow, inventory, and logistics. You'll ensure that materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there, balancing lean principles, cost targets, and service-level expectations across a long-distance, variable-demand supply chain.

In addition to daily execution, you will serve as a key contributor to several top strategic initiatives, including AMQ's Portfolio Optimization effort, which is focused on aligning our warehouse inventory with customer demand and space efficiency. Your work will help shape what we stock when we replenish and how we evolve our supply chain for growth.

This role is ideal for a systems-minded leader who thrives in a dual-mode environment-running and improving the business while meaningfully contributing to high-impact, cross-functional transformation.

Who You Are:

You are energized by systems thinking, team development, and unlocking operational excellence. This is your chance to architect and lead and end to end materials function during a time of transformation and growth!

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

* Proven ability to manage material planning.

* Understanding of manufacturing operations.

Desired Skills and Experience

Leadership & People Development: Proven experience (3+ years) leading and developing professional teams within a manufacturing environment.

Planning & Materials Management: Strong working knowledge of demand forecasting, capacity planning, production scheduling, inventory control, and material flow systems (e.g., kanban, supermarkets, pull systems).

Lean & Operational Excellence: Experience managing materials and logistics within a lean manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of materials strategy and continuous improvement principles.

Systems & Tools: Familiarity with enterprise systems integration and MRP tools (e.g., SAP), with the ability to translate demand signals into actionable supply plans.

Strategic & Cross-functional Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead strategic projects, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive service-level improvements through supplier engagement and internal alignment.

Financial & Business Acumen: Experience with budgeting, cost control, and balancing working capital needs against service performance.

Certifications: APICS certification or equivalent is preferred.

What You Will Be Doing:

Inventory Leadership: Manage inventory accuracy, reduce excess and obsolete stock, and balance working capital needs with service level targets in a lean manufacturing environment.

Plan for Production Readiness: Own and improve the production planning and scheduling process to ensure operational readiness and capacity alignment with customer demand. This includes modeling and interpreting demand signals, often with limited visibility.

Forecasting and Supply Planning: Partner with Product Marketing to build demand forecasts and leverage SAP's MRP to create forward-looking procurement recommendations that account for long-lead-time international supply chains.

Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of materials planners and logistics professionals-establishing clear expectations, building capabilities, and fostering a strong culture of accountability and support.

Data-Driven Problem Solving: Use dashboards, performance metrics, and root cause analysis to identify operational gaps, prioritize improvement efforts, and track measurable outcomes across SQDC dimensions.
