Job Description

2025 Information Technology (IT) Student Co-Op/Internship opportunities

(Paid, with housing stipend)- Aerospace manufacturing plant in Toronto, Ohio

*A minimum of a 3-month assignment. Part-time employment (20+hrs/week) for 6-months also qualifies

Information Technology Co-Op Summary

The Information Technology (IT) Co-Op assists the onsite IT Specialist with the day-to-day IT activities at the manufacturing plant, including monitoring and resolving submitted IT tickets. The IT Co-op would also be instrumental in supporting ad-hoc IT projects that arise (e.g., imaging, configuring, and deploying equipment).

Information Technology Co-Op Essential Functions

Performs wide variety of helpdesk and administrative duties to support the IT function and IT Specialist

Coordinates and participates in department initiatives as needed

At the direction of the onsite IT Specialist, functions as a point of contact between the user and any resources required to resolve IT related problems

Responsible for supporting the IT Specialist with the daily monitoring, maintenance, and availability of computer hardware on site

Installs personal computers, software, and peripheral equipment

Assists with network, server and telecommunications support as needed

Facilitate problem resolution by reviewing ticket assignments, gathering additional information, updating case information, proactively providing status to customers, and driving the resolution process

Build relationships with customers and strive to understand their problems and needs

Maintain effective communication with the IT Service Desk and the Information Services organization

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Excellent Communication, grammar, punctuation, and spelling needed to facilitate the preparation of procedures and to Communicate with (and partner with) internal customers

Education and Experience

Full time student pursing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or related field.

Special Skills

Proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point. Knowledge of basic office equipment.
