Overview

At Helio Health, we're dedicated to transforming lives by treating and promoting recovery from substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral health issues. We're seeking a mission-driven and experienced Advanced CASAC Clinician to join our Adult Services team, where you'll play a vital role in supporting adults living with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

About the Position:

This position centers around substance use recovery and treatment, offering the opportunity to work within a collaborative care team model. As an Advanced CASAC, you will provide individual counseling, group facilitation, care planning, and recovery support with an emphasis on harm reduction, relapse prevention, and person-centered care. You'll work closely with a team that includes Mental Health Therapists, Targeted Case Managers, Peer Specialists, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialists, as well as psychiatric and MAT providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each client.

Position Details:

  • Flexible schedule within the clinic's operating hours Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm; some evening hours required
  • Salary Range: $28.50-$30/hour (based on credentials and experience)
  • Location: On-site in Syracuse, NY with remote workdays available

All Full-Time, Advanced CASAC Clinicians are eligible for up to a Sign-On incentive up to $3,000 depending upon credentials!



Responsibilities

  • Provide individual substance use counseling to adults with SUD or co-occurring diagnoses.
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions focused on recovery, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, and peer support.
  • Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments and develop collaborative treatment and recovery plans.
  • Deliver services using evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and external providers (e.g., MAT prescribers, case managers, peers) to support recovery goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record system.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance your clinical skills and support client outcomes.


Qualifications

  • Credential Required: CASAC Advanced or CASAC with significant clinical experience
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years working with clients with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring mental health needs
  • Preferred Skills: Group facilitation, familiarity with recovery models, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and client-centered treatment planning
  • Tech Savvy: Ability to navigate EHR systems (e.g., PSYCKES, OASAS CDS, HealthEConnections)
  • Other Requirements: Valid NYS Driver's License and reliable transportation (if applicable)
