Genesis10 is seeking a QA Manager (Healthcare Software) for a remote direct hire position with a leading client in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Salary range for this role is $100-120k plus a $15k performance bonus.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Manager to lead our team of talented QA Engineers. This role is essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions, particularly in the medical software domain. As a key member of the leadership team, you will mentor and guide individual contributors while driving the overall QA strategy to maintain and improve the quality of next-generation products.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in software testing, proven leadership experience, and a passion for fostering collaborative and innovative teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, usability, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Elevate the software QA function through process and automation
  • Ensure proper test coverage for all product releases
  • Build a culture of quality within the Software Engineering function
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA Engineers to deliver exceptional results in manual and automated testing across all products.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy that includes unit, integration, system, performance, regression, and usability testing.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle, from planning to release.
  • Oversee the curation and maintenance of high-quality test suites that provide complete coverage for all user functionality, including edge cases.
  • Act as a champion for QA best practices, providing high-quality feedback in pull requests and code reviews.
  • Partner with Application Support Specialists and Software Engineers to reproduce and resolve bugs reported internally and by customers.
  • Monitor and implement tools and processes to improve test efficiency, coverage, and reliability, such as performance measurement, browser compatibility, and accessibility testing tools.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements to ensure the team is equipped with the most effective QA methodologies and tools.


Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of software testing strategies and their application, including unit, integration, system, regression, and acceptance testing.
  • Strong knowledge of web application architecture and usability principles, including UX, security, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Adept at working within Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban.
  • Work independently and in conjunction with a team
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Versatile and able to learn quickly


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, including 2+ years in a senior role.
  • Familiarity with modern application technologies, including programming languages (C#, JavaScript, etc.), databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB), APIs (REST, GraphQL), front-end frameworks (React, Angular), and event services (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with tools for test automation and performance testing.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies; SCRUM; Kanban, etc
