Job Summary:
Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Leadership & Operations: - Recruit, onboard, and train team members including Venture Managers, Project Managers, and Program Coordinators/Administrators - Oversee day-to-day team operations including event planning and logistics, stakeholder engagement and communications, data collection, and tech-stack - Develop and manage relationships with key CDL stakeholders including mentors, scientists, venture investors, and funding organizations - Responsible for the implementation of the CDL-Global Standard Operating Procedures at CDL-Wisconsin - Serve as the main point of contact with the CDL-Global team with respect to operational issues and ensure complete knowledge transfer to and from CDL-Wisconsin - Under the leadership of the Site Lead, apply analytical tools and evaluation frameworks to confirm CDL-Wisconsin is meeting its objectives
Management & Administration: - Oversee all CDL-Wisconsin event planning and associated logistics - Oversee and contribute to CDL-Wisconsin's marketing materials, including one-pagers, decks, and LinkedIn posts - Support CDL-Wisconsin fundraising efforts and the development of key corporate partnerships, alongside Site Leads and CDL-Global - Ensure team is achieving its targets based on CDL KPIs - Ensure quality of all CDL documentation and external facing material
Responsibilities:
Manages multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish or one large project impacting the institution at-large under general supervision.
- 10% Creates a project plan, monitors progress and performance against the project plan, and identifies, resolves, or escalates risks and issues
- 20% Manages the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
- 20% Facilitates the estimation of project costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of a project and monitors activities, negotiates for resources, and assigns tasks to ensure these targets are met. Follows established change control processes if targets can no longer be met
- 25% Prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team
- 25% Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and collaborates with project staff to meet project targets and milestones

Required Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Master's Degree in Business Administration
Qualifications:
Required: - Minimum 10 years experience managing projects. - Experience in delivering corporate events. - Experience working in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. - Experience managing a budget for business, non profit, or government organization.
Preferred: - Experience working in a university setting. - Experience leading interdisciplinary teams. - Advanced knowledge of project management software and CRMs, preferably Airtable, Notion, and Salesforce. - Demonstrated success collaborating with partner organizations (e.g., corporate entities, university partners, startups, and others). - Highly motivated with a strong interest in all aspects of business development and relationship management. - Experience and confidence working with senior technology executives and startup investors. - Ability to think and act strategically and deliver results without having direct authority over entities and individuals who share responsibility for these activities. - Financial literacy and experience with fundraising and venture deals. - Familiarity with startups in Insurtech and healthtech.
