Starting pay for this position is $11/hour Schedule is Monday - Thursday from 2:30pm - 7:30pm The Salvation Army Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Summary/Primary Purpose: The Youth Center Associate supports the work of The Salvation Army's Family Activity center by serving as a positive influence on children, kindergarten - high school senior, through productive interactions, structured programming, games, conversations, academic aid, and athletic pursuits. Associate ensures proper child-to-adult ratios and supervision, keeping environment safe, supportive, and uplifting for all. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience with children in a professional setting preferred. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army. Working Conditions: The work environment is a childcare setting with moderate to loud noise levels, both indoors and outdoors.
