Web Behavior Data Governance Senior Analyst

The Web Behavior Data Governance Senior Analyst is responsible for executing policies, procedures and monitoring practices to ensure increased value from governing Cox Automotive Web Behavior data. This includes ensuring Web Behavior data is commonly understood, it is easy to find, access, and trace, and that it meets quality needs. They will focus on driving the adoption of the Cox Auto Common Data Layer, one of the key enablers of Cox Auto Web Behavior data, supporting the functional requirements collection to ensure proper usage, and monitoring usage to identify anomalies and correct them. They will coordinate with analytics, product, engineering and data privacy teams to continuously improve governance initiatives, policies, and procedures. They will support the adoption of new processes and technology, while minimizing change and impact via training, communication, and change management.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor data governance policies and procedures for Cox Automotive Web Behavior data
  • Execute the cross-functional Web Behavior roadmap, managing all work in Rally
  • Act as a central Web Behavior subject matter expert that partners with team members across Cox Automotive
  • Provide support to analytics and product teams to implement Cox Auto Common Data Layer in compliance with the defined language
  • Lead the Governance Council process to intake new Cox Auto Common Data Layer requests as the business changes
  • Settle disputes between parties effectively and for the best of Cox Automotive
  • Implement and manage Web Behavior data monitoring and reporting across the organization and ensure corrective actions are taken
  • Maintain Web Behavior data catalog, including properties, definitions, examples and a deep dive of use cases when necessary
  • Lead change management and training endeavors to ensure successful adoption of the Cox Auto Common Data Layer
  • Grow and maintain a communications platform for disseminating information to the enterprise
  • Be autonomous and make decisions without oversight when appropriate
  • Must be able to travel (up to 5%).
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the office


Requirements

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. (i.e., data and analytics, governance, project management, change management, IT)
    • The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field
  • Experience working on cross-functional, high-performing teams
  • Advanced Excel analytics skills, including formula and trending charts development
  • Data Visualization tool skills using Power BI or Tableau, including data visualization and integration
  • Exposure to SQL-based relational databases (e.g. Snowflake, Netezza, Redshift, etc.)
  • Experience analyzing data and using quantitative metrics to make strategic decisions, as well the ability to make decisions with ambiguous or incomplete data
  • Desire to learn about all parts of the Cox Automotive business to better understand the data and related processes
  • Experience in written and oral presentations
  • Experience in change management, including eliciting information and requirements, facilitating meetings and discussions to reach decisions, creating reference and training materials, and presenting to groups.


Preferred:

  • Online experience with web / digital analysis and related software preferred (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile development processes and tools, including Rally
  • Preferred experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Engineering, Data Discovery, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage
  • Demonstrated ability to be a highly functioning team member and work on initiatives that require cross-functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, and project management skills
  • Creative thinker with an open mind to learn and explore new areas and opportunities, and to develop and recommend opportunities and solutions
  • Preferred experience in the automotive space


USD 87,200.00 - 130,800.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $87,200.00 - $130,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
