Job Description: Scheduler/Cost Controller
Location: Binghamton, NY
Salary: $92,360 - $119,389 Our client is seeking a skilled Scheduler/Cost Controller to join their team, responsible for supporting project planning and control initiatives. This role will involve producing reports, verifying cost information, managing project schedules, and ensuring that all financial and performance systems are properly maintained and reconciled. Key Responsibilities:
Produce regular and ad-hoc reports to support project planning and control initiatives.
Verify the accuracy of cost information, ensuring that costs are properly coded and allocated to the project budget.
Produce reports on deviations, under-runs, over-runs, and prepare forecasts and cost trend reports.
Review and evaluate trends and their impact on project costs.
Monitor project costs and commitments to budget and forecast.
Maintain change control and the change order register.
Develop and update progress curves for progress reporting and manage EVM during all project stages.
Develop an Integrated Master Schedule according to owner standards and approved scheduling tools.
Prepare project schedules that accurately identify activity interrelationships, including work on critical paths and work with less than 2 weeks float.
Perform Current Schedule and Cost (EV, AC) vs. Performance Measurement Baseline analysis and highlight deviations.
Conduct Critical Path Analysis to forecast delays and evaluate alternative scenarios.
Provide guidance to project personnel on best scheduling practices and techniques.
Ensure project control data is reconciled with financial and performance systems.
Manage and maintain project control databases and reports.
Assist with journal entries when requested.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Controlling and 4 years of experience in Construction Project Scheduling.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
CAPM or PMI-SP Certification (requires Client approval).
SAP experience required.
Experience with Primavera (preferred) and/or MS Project.
Experience in Substations, T&D, Gas-Hydro, or OSG is a plus.
