OverviewManages VNS Health Plans Market Development systems projects relating to system development, maintenance, analysis and enhancements. Oversees report production and analysis for the department on a regular basis to identify issues and trends. Ensures that agency resources are leveraged to meet reporting needs in the program. Works under general supervision.

What You Will Do

  • Manages Market Development system projects relating to needs analysis, functionality enhancements and new product implementation, including development and documentation of functional specifications.
  • Maintains hierarchy and configuration-level tables and values; ensures new records are added into the Sales Operation System and Retention System.
  • Ensures configuration decisions conform to Market Development system requirements as well as regulatory, program and strategic direction requirements. Analyzes, plans, implements and documents new configuration decisions for Plexis across all lines of business.
  • Participates in the development of and oversees change management process for the Sales Operation System and Retention System.
  • Tracks system problems or escalates problem to System Administrator, vendor and/or senior management; follows through to ensure resolution.
  • Works with Database Administrator to ensure ongoing functionality of Market Development system infrastructure and security.
  • Works with System Administrator on Market Development system upgrades, routine updates and enhancements including analysis, testing and implementation.
  • Serves as liaison with vendors to resolve Market Development system issues, understand impact of product changes and develop future enhancements.
  • Works with business process owners to analyze usage of Market Development system, develop enhanced workflows and oversee development and production of new system reports.
  • Trains new sales and marketing staff and maintains training of existing staff.
  • Adds/terminates Market Development system users and communicates system outages and events to users.
  • Maintains, updates and disseminates Market Development system related documentation, including system configuration, functionality, manuals, policies and procedures, and training documentation.
  • Coordinates/communicates information with Help Desk staff as needed.
  • Produces statistical reports and planning analyses to support decision-making as needed.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Health Administration or related field discipline, or the equivalent work experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

Work Experience:

  • Minimum three years of experience in business operations and/or operations analysis and system development, implementation and training required
  • Experience leading an operations project required
  • Strong analytic, organizational and oral/written communication skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Visio required
  • Managed care systems experience preferred
  • Knowledge of data bases and report generation preferred
  • Knowledge of Crystal Report Developer, SQL databases and interfaces preferred
