Job Description Pharmacy Shared Services Integration - Leads the strategic integration of pharmacy shared services across ambulatory and physician practices, bridging clinical, operational, financial, and regulatory requirements. This role optimizes pharmacy services delivery by aligning shared services infrastructure with practice needs, enhancing efficiency and patient care quality. The senior director will collaborate with procurement to standardize pharmaceuticals across the system and spearhead initiatives presented to the ambulatory Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee, ensuring representation from system-level cancer care, pediatrics, and local P&T committees. Job Responsibility
- Leads a Pharmacy group by communication with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function or geographic area.
- Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility. Develops department strategies, and directs development and implementation of new programs and services to achieve vision.
- Ensures fiscal integrity of the Department by overseeing preparation of budget recommendations and assuming accountability for annual staff, supply, and expense budgets of the pharmacies, including determining, justifying and recommending capital equipment requirements.
- Ensures visibility and appropriate participation of Pharmacy committees and transformation initiatives.
- Formulates formal policy and procedures for functions and activities within the pharmacy as required by law.
- Provides guidance to personnel rendering patient care and develops policies and procedures that involve drug distribution.
- Assists hospital clinical leadership in developing policies regarding drug utilization and administration.
- Ensures appropriate staffing, management, and leadership across in the pharmacy and directs / coordinates interviewing, selection, training and supervision of both professional and technical staff in the department.
- Directs staff development, mentoring, and career management of pharmacy staff, recommending and/or approving appointments, terminations, promotions, salary and other related personnel matters. Provides opportunity for continuing education of professional staff both through personal instruction and scheduling of participation in professional meetings, institutes and seminars. Provides direction to individual staff members for professional development to strengthen individual and department capabilities.
- Partners and collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of outstanding patient care.
- Participates in teaching activities by direct consultation with the medical staff and house staff, formal conferences in the in-service training of nursing practice staff and by serving as an advising consultant in research and as a resource person in selected medical school courses
- Facilitates and ensures regular, ongoing, and effective communications between Pharmacy Services and Hospital Leadership.
- Represents hospital at local, state, and national professional meetings and seminars, staying informed of new concepts of pharmacy practice and trends in the profession as well as contributing toward recruitment efforts to attract qualified professionals to the Pharmacy staff.
- Incorporates and exemplifies the health system's Service Standards in the performance of duties.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor of Pharmacy required.
- Current License to practice as a Pharmacist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
