Position Description California State University, Los Angeles is seeking a Data Scientist / Research Scientist to collaborate with the Department of Computer Science in the development of advanced machine learning algorithms and/or Earth System Digital Twins for multidisciplinary applications. The selected candidate will be actively involved in Conducting literature reviews, collaborating with the research team and project Principal Investigators (PIs) in developing machine learning algorithms, predictive models, Earth System Digital Twins, data visualization/UI platforms, and large-scale data processing pipelines, and Co-authoring research papers, technical reports, and future grant proposals Minimum Qualifications

The incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the UAS.
